On November 10 at 7:30 p.m., an evacuation drill was conducted for students living in the International Dormitory.
The drill simulated a fire outbreak in the first-floor dining hall. Students practiced evacuating through three designated emergency exits on each floor and assembling at the designated meeting area for attendance confirmation.
In Japan, approximately 1,500 people lose their lives to fires every year. In the past, fatal fire accidents have occurred in high school dormitories as well.
During the drill, students were reminded that the most dangerous aspect of a fire is not the flames but the smoke.
They were also advised never to use elevators during an evacuation and to always check the emergency exits in advance when staying at hotels or other accommodations.
The International Dormitory has multiple evacuation routes, including balconies. In addition, since Japan is a country prone to earthquakes, students were informed about designated meeting areas and procedures for confirming safety in the event of a major earthquake.
We hope that all students will develop the awareness that “you are responsible for protecting your own safety” and will act calmly and responsibly in any emergency situation, wherever they are in the world.

11月10日晚上7点30分，学校为国际宿舍的全体宿舍生举行了防火避难演练。
本次演练假设一楼食堂发生火灾，学生们从各楼层设置的三个安全出口有序撤离，
并在指定的集合地点集合、点名确认人数。
在日本，每年约有1,500人死于火灾。过去也曾有高中宿舍发生过火灾致死的案例。
本次演练中，老师们提醒学生：火灾中最可怕的并不是火焰，而是浓烟。同时，
强调在避难时绝对不要使用电梯，并要在入住酒店等场所时提前确认安全出口的位置。
国际宿舍设有多条逃生路线，包括阳台等通道。另外，日本是一个地震频发的国家，
学校也向学生说明了在发生大地震时的集合地点和安全确认方式。
希望所有学生都能树立“自己的安全由自己守护”的意识，在任何地方、任何情况下，
都能冷静、迅速地采取正确的行动。

11月10日午後7時30分より、国際寮において寮生を対象とした避難訓練を実施しました。
今回は、1階食堂からの出火を想定し、各階に設けられた3カ所の避難口から屋外へ避難した後、
所定の集合場所に集まり点呼を行う訓練を行いました。
日本では毎年およそ1,500人が火災により命を落としています。過去には他校の高校寮でも
火災による死亡事故が発生しており、日頃から防災意識を高めることの重要性を改めて確認しました。
火災において最も危険なのは炎ではなく煙であること、また避難の際にはエレベーターを絶対に
使用してはならないことを生徒に伝えました。
国際寮には、ベランダを含め複数の避難経路が確保されていますが、ホテルなどに宿泊する際も、
事前に避難経路を確認する習慣を身につけておくことが大切です。
また、日本は地震の多い国でもあるため、大きな地震が発生した際の安否確認の方法や集合場所についても、
改めて生徒に周知しました。
世界のどこにいても、「自分の身は自分で守る」という意識を忘れず、冷静かつ安全に行動できる力を身に
つけてほしいと願っています。
