On the afternoon of February 3, our school held an Extended Essay (EE) presentation session for DP2 students in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
Twelve DP2 students, who are approaching their final IB examinations, presented the results of their independent research projects, which they have been developing over approximately one and a half years. Each student spoke confidently about their research motivation, methodology, data analysis, and the insights gained through the essay-writing process. Every presentation demonstrated strong academic depth, clear logical structure, and originality, reflecting the students’ significant growth as IB learners.
Following the presentations, the DP2 students shared their experiences and practical advice with younger students in attendance. They explained how they identified their research topics, conducted investigations and analyses, and overcame challenges during the writing process. These first-hand reflections provided valuable guidance and encouragement for students who will begin working on their own Extended Essays in the future.
The Extended Essay is a core component of the IB Diploma Programme, designed to foster independent research skills, critical thinking, and perseverance. This presentation session truly showcased the strengths of IB education and highlighted the achievements of sustained inquiry and intellectual curiosity.
Inspired by the presentations, the younger students will follow in the footsteps of their seniors and present their own research with confidence next year. Our IB programme will continue to nurture each student’s curiosity, independence, and willingness to take on academic challenges.

2月3日下午，我校国际文凭课程（IB Diploma Programme）举行了DP2年级学生的拓展论文（Extended Essay，简称EE）成果发表会。
临近IB最终考试的12名DP2学生，展示了他们历时约一年半完成的独立研究成果。每位学生围绕研究动机、研究方法、资料分析以及论文写作过程中获得的收获进行了自信而清晰的发表。所有的报告都体现了高度的学术深度、严谨的逻辑思维以及鲜明的个人特色，充分展现了作为IB学生的成长与成熟。
在发表会结束后，DP2学生还向在场的低年级同学分享了自己撰写EE的经验与心得。他们结合自身经历，介绍了如何确定研究主题、如何推进调查与分析，以及在遇到困难时如何克服挑战。这些来自学长学姐的真实经验，为即将开始EE学习的同学们提供了宝贵的参考与鼓励。
拓展论文是IB课程的重要组成部分，旨在培养学生的自主探究能力、批判性思维能力以及持之以恒的学习态度。本次发表会充分展现了IB教育的魅力，也体现了学生长期探究学习所取得的丰硕成果。
受到学长学姐精彩发表的启发，低年级学生也将在未来站上同样的舞台，自信地展示自己的研究成果。我校IB课程将继续重视并支持每一位学生的探究精神与挑战意识。

2月3日（月）午後、本校国際バカロレア（IB）ディプロマ・プログラムにおいて、DP2生徒によるEE（Extended Essay）発表会を開催しました。
最終試験を目前に控えたDP2生徒12名が、これまで約1年半にわたって取り組んできた探究活動の成果を発表しました。テーマ設定の背景、研究方法、資料分析、そして論文執筆を通して得た学びまで、一人ひとりが自分の言葉で堂々と語る姿は、IB生としての大きな成長を感じさせるものばかりでした。どの発表も内容が深く、論理性と独自性に富んだ、非常に完成度の高いものでした。
発表後には、会場に集まった後輩たちに向けて、EEに取り組む際の考え方や具体的な手法について、先輩たちからアドバイスが送られました。「テーマはどのように見つけたのか」「研究を進める中で苦労したこと」「壁にぶつかったときにどう乗り越えたか」など、実体験に基づく言葉は、これからEEに挑戦する後輩たちにとって、何よりも心強い指針となりました。
IBのEEは、主体的な探究力、論理的思考力、そして粘り強く学び続ける姿勢を育てる重要なプログラムです。今回の発表会は、その学びの成果が存分に発揮された、まさにIB教育の魅力を象徴する時間となりました。
この発表を間近で見た後輩たちも、先輩の背中を追いながら、来年には同じ舞台で自信に満ちた発表を行ってくれることでしょう。本校IBコースでは、これからも生徒一人ひとりの探究心と挑戦を大切に育んでいきます。
