On July 5th, we invited Dr. Kataria, an Indian doctor from the Graduate School of Engineering at Kyoto University,
to give a lecture on "Fluorescence Spectroscopy" for IB students.
She gave a lecture that was easy to understand even for high school students.
After the lecture there was time for students to ask questions about the research topic.
And together with Kataria, the student examined bill from different currencies for fluorescent markers.
This lecture was held as part of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science's program to dispatch foreign researchers,
and was a program aimed at deepening students' interest in research and understanding of internationality.

7月5日，我们邀请了京都大学工学研究生院的印度籍博士卡塔利亚博士为IB学生讲授“荧光光谱学”。
他用浅显易懂的方式，让即使是高中生也很容易理解。
讲课结束后，学生们就研究课题进行了提问。卡塔利亚博士还和学生们一起检查了不同货币的钞票上的荧光标记。
这次讲座是日本学术振兴会派遣外国研究人员计划的一部分，旨在加深学生对研究的兴趣和对国际性的理解。

7月5日に、IBの生徒を対象に、京都大学院工学研究科のインド人研究者カタリア博士をお招きして、
「蛍光分光法」についての講演会を開催しました。
先生は高校生にも理解できるように分かりやすく講義をしてくださいました。
講義後には、研究テーマについて生徒から質問する時間も設けられ、生徒はカタリア博士と一緒に、
さまざまな通貨の紙幣に蛍光マーカーがないか調べました。
この講演会は、日本学術振興会が行っている外国人研究者の派遣事業で、生徒の研究への関心及び
国際性への理解を深めることを目的としたプログラムです。
